Juniper Root was born out of a desire to create a space for a child’s natural learning path to unfold in a safe and supportive environment surrounded by caring peers, loving adults, and the beauty of nature.

Our younger learners develop self-direction in our carefully curated indoor Montessori environment. We also hold large blocks of unstructured play time in nature daily. We have found that children thrive when we strike a beautiful balance between engaging with structured materials and open-ended play. There is so much value in both.

Our older learners further develop self-direction by discovering and diving more deeply into their unique passions. Adult guides help connect learners with resources to explore topics that pique their interests, deeply satisfying their innate drive to learn.
